check out craigslist.com…. they list places that people want to rent for a week… each state has a craigslist so click on hawaii… and than vacation rentals… I live in MT and there was 1 listed a while ago for Hawaii.. good luck

Are you looking to rent one or buy a vacation home. Check out the classifieds in the papers or go on craigslist and find what your interested. If interested in purchasing a timeshare go with a hotel chain like Hilton, Hyatt, Mariott, etc. Timeshare secret: Buy one in a cheaper location to save money on maintenance fees not Hawaii. For $50 more book your trip to Hawaii.

I would try the vacation rentals section of honolulu.craigslist.org, or do a search on vrbo.com (vacation rentals by owners).
Those would be the best two places to find short term vacation rentals on any of the Hawaiian islands.
